We built YouAndHost around that person and the guest they are hosting, not around a layer of people in the middle telling either of them what to do.

Hosts here are independent. They set their rates, write their house rules, answer their own guests and run their own business. Guests book with that host, not with a faceless listing, and the two can talk from the first question to the day after checkout.

Our guest fee is one clear line before you pay, and it is lower than the big marketplaces charge. Several of them now advertise no guest fee; the fee moved into the nightly price instead, where you still pay it. See what every platform charges, side by side. Your card is charged once at booking, or in parts when the stay is far enough away, and the host is paid the day after you arrive. Soon, a host who brings you to their own listing will be able to pass on a lower fee still.

We know the work behind a successful vacation rental: keeping calendars accurate, answering guest questions, coordinating turnovers, managing expenses, making every stay count. With rising costs, tougher competition and pressure on margins, hosts need more than another place to list. They need technology that gives them back time and helps them compete.

That is why we built YouAndHost. Listing is free, and so is everything needed to take a booking and be paid: your listing page, calendars that sync with Airbnb and Vrbo, instant or request-to-book, payments, reviews, the walkthroughs, the app. Optional paid tools add more automation, listing by listing, when your business needs it. You keep control of your property, your guests and your prices.

The people who make a stay

A good stay is a team effort.

Behind the host there is usually a family that makes its living cleaning and maintaining places: the cleaner who turns the house between guests, the handyman who fixes the tap on a Saturday, the inspector who makes sure it is right. Most platforms never mention them. We built YouAndHost so they are part of it: a cleaner has their own place in the app, sees every turnover, keeps a record of the jobs they did and how well, and is paid through the same system the host is paid by, with the paperwork done.

The directory lets them be found. A cleaner, a handyman or a co-host lists what they do and where they work from, hosts nearby find them, and listings that need help find them too. Nobody’s phone number or address is exposed; YouAndHost carries the introduction. For someone starting out, it is work in their own town with their name on it. For a host, it is a team. That is what we mean by encouraging people to build a business of their own: the tools a management company has, in the hands of a family.

And it is safe on both sides. Everyone who offers a service on YouAndHost, hosts, co-hosts, cleaners, maintenance people, passes the same identity check before they can join a team or be found. A guest knows who prepared the home; a host knows who holds the key. We do not vet skill, and we say so; we verify the person, every time.

How the technology helps

OSCAR, your AI co-host, and the work between stays.

OSCAR is your AI co-host, on every listing. It answers guests from the host’s own words: the interview the host gave, the house notes, the area guide. It can act inside rules the host sets, a late checkout for instance, or ask the host by text when the rule says ask. It never invents a house rule, and it never sees a lock code it should not.

Around OSCAR sits the rest of the work: a turnover appears after every checkout, a cleaner is told, readiness is known before the next guest arrives, and a problem a guest reports becomes a job for the right person. The host sees it all in one place, on the website or the phone, and never has to retype a booking into another tool.

Underneath, payments are held safely and paid out on time, calendars stay in step, and every message, task and payout is on the record. The technology is there so that people can do what only people can do.
