Cleaning and turnovers

A turnover after every checkout, your cleaner told, readiness known.

Every stay ends with a turnover: the gap between one guest leaving and the next arriving. YouAndHost knows when that gap is, from its own bookings and from the calendars you connected, and makes the cleaning task for it by itself. This is free, for one cleaner per listing.

Informal, the default

Your cleaner sees every turnover and the house notes. When a listing has exactly one cleaner, each job is theirs automatically: they get a message, “Cleaning Fri 10:00 to 13:00 at Walkthrough Cabin”, and nothing is asked of them. When the next guest’s time comes, the job is assumed done and the listing reads ready. A host with one trusted cleaner never leaves informal.

Formal (Premium)

Jobs are offered and the cleaner accepts or declines, with a time limit. The checklist is enforced: required steps answered, photos taken where you asked. You see the listing’s readiness change the moment the cleaner hands off, and you are told when someone is late.

Readiness

Each listing reads one of: occupied, turnover required, in progress, at risk, not ready, ready, with the reason in words: “guest checks out Wed 11:00; cleaning assigned”, “cleaned Wed 13:10 by Maria”. The Readiness board shows every listing at once and recomputes every few minutes.

What the cleaner sees, and does not

The listing, the window, the house notes and the access instructions when the job starts. Never the guest’s name, number or email.
