Your listing
Your page and search
The listing page, your own link and QR code, how search ranks you.
Every listing has a public page with its own address and QR code, and every host has a page of their own at youandhost.com/hosts/your-name with all their listings. Share them with past guests and your own community; a booking from your link is a booking you brought.

Asking OSCAR before booking
A guest on your listing page can ask OSCAR about the place, before they book and without starting a conversation: is there a crib, how far is the lake, is the road paved. OSCAR answers from your interview and says when it does not know. Nothing a guest asks here reaches your inbox unless they choose to write to you.
How search ranks listings
Results are ordered by a score, and the score is honest about what it rewards. Premium on the listing counts the most; then guest reviews (a new listing is not penalised for having none), your identity badge, photos, a real description, amenities, interview answers, instant book, recent bookings, and distance from the place searched. A host cancellation in the last year counts against you; so does a calendar that stopped syncing.
| Signal | Weight |
|---|---|
| Premium on the listing | the most |
| Guest reviews | up to as much as Premium, earned over many stays |
| Identity verified | half as much as Premium |
| Photos, description, amenities, interview answers, instant book | small, added up |
| Bookings in the last six months | small, added up |
| A host cancellation in the last year, a broken calendar | counts against |
Destination pages
Places with listings get a page of their own (youandhost.com/vacation-rentals/the-place) that search engines index, so a guest searching for a cabin in your town finds you without knowing our name.
Host badges
Platinum, Gold and Silver are earned each quarter and shown for the quarter that follows, on your listing pages and your own page. Four measures, all of them needed: your guest rating over the last twelve months and the reviews it rests on, the stays you cancelled, your occupancy, and what guests booked. Platinum asks 4.8 from 10 reviews, no cancellations, 60% occupancy and $25,000 booked in the quarter; Gold 4.6 from 5, one cancellation at most, 40% and $10,000; Silver 4.3 from 3, two at most, 25% and $2,500. Your home page shows where the running quarter stands and what the next tier asks.
Reviews
A guest rates cleanliness, how well the place matched its description, check-in and checkout, your area guidance, and value; the overall star is the average of those, and it is the one figure guests see. You see the parts on your reviews page. Each side writes one short paragraph, shown once both have written or after the window.
